Nicole Kidman striрs for a steаmy scene with Zach in the series
Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron have reunited on screen, 12 years after starring in The Paperboy.
In The Paperboy, the onscreen duo made waves with a controversial scene where Kidman had to urinate on Efron for a scene that involved his character being stung by a jellyfish.
This time around, the A-listers are appearing in much lighter fare, playing lovers in the quirky Netflix rom-com A Family Affair.
In the film, Kidman, 56, has a steamy affair with her daughter’s movie star boss, played by the much younger Efron, 36.
Based on the trailer, the pair will appear in at least one sex scene together.
‘I went a little crazy. I’m allowed, right?’ Kidman purrs after bedding the High School Musical hunk.
The saucy scene sees the Australian actress slam Efron against the wall, before mounting him on a bed, before he rips off her shirt.
‘I’ve waited for you forever,’ he says breathlessly as they disrobe and kiss passionately.
Efron spoke to people about the role, telling the publication, ‘I was still a bit apprehensive but reuniting with Nicole is always so great and as talented as she as an actress, she is equally kind, caring and wonderful to spend time with.’
Describing their sizzling onscreen chemistry, Efron said it was ‘seamless, natural and fun’.
A Family Affair also stars Joey King and Kathy Bates. It is scheduled to be released on June 28.
Kidman and Efron previously starred in the controversial crime drama The Paperboy, which shocked audiences upon its release in 2012 due to a number of tawdry scenes.
The most talked about moment from the movie saw Kidman urinate on Efron after he was stung by a jellyfish.
The Paperboy was a box office bomb and only earned $3.8 million worldwide against a budget of $12.5 million.
However, it has since developed a cult following among some critics and cinephiles.
